Dr. Erin Andersen
Dr. Andersen grew up in Labrador. She was strongly influenced by an aunt who was devoted to the well-being of cats. She also loved hearing stories of a great-grandfather with a reputation for being especially “soft” towards his team of huskies.
She studied biology at Memorial University in St. John’s and credits her time working on a dairy farm with opening the door to vet school. After attending the Atlantic Veterinary College she practiced in Toronto and Moncton before spending 5 years in Richmond, Virginia. Getting to know pet owners, and understanding their concerns and goals for their pets, became her favourite part of the job.
Once she and her husband Tom decided to relocate to Canada, the choice to make a home in New Brunswick was easy. They’re thrilled to be in Fredericton with their two cats, Freja and Beatrix.
