Laurie is the voice our clients talk to the most.

Laurie grew up in Burtt’s Corner and still lives there with her two children (MiKayla and Ethan), one dog, two cats and two guinea pigs. After several years of working with a local veterinary clinic, she decided to stay home with her children. Realizing she needed adult contact again, she came to work for DAH in March 2008 – first on a part-time basis for six months, then becoming a full-time employee.

She spends her winters watching her son play hockey and managing his team. Over the last several years she and her children have found their passion in fostering kittens for the Fredericton SPCA. What started out as a by-chance litter that landed on her doorstep, has grown into a temporary home for several litters of kittens every year.

In her spare time, she likes to read, do crafts, and spend time outdoors in the summer.
